Situations we prepare you for

You never know when you might need self defence skills so its a great idea to be prepared for a wide range of scenarios. Therefore our training covers the kinds of situations where you might need practical self defence skills:

  • Different environments — street, home, work, or public transport
  • Verbal and/or physical aggression
  • One-on-one confrontations
  • Multiple assailants
  • Protecting someone you’re with
  • Situations that begin from a position of disadvantage, such as surprise, stress, or limited space


The goal isn’t to expect the worst — it’s to feel better prepared if things don’t go as planned.

How training prepares you

We take a structured, progressive approach. Training begins with core defensive skills that are simple, effective, and designed to work under stress — without relying on strength or fitness.

From there, we introduce tactical understanding: awareness, distance, positioning, and safer decision-making.

We train across the full timeline of a situation:

  • Noticing and avoiding problems early
  • De-escalating wherever possible
  • Physical defence only when necessary
  • Creating opportunity to disengage, escape, and get home safely


You’ll also learn how to act within the law, and what to do once you’ve broken contact.

Krav Maga Location

Our classes are held at our dedicated Krav Maga training facility on the North Shore in Birkenhead. We are easily accessible from surrounding North Shore suburbs. A small change area is available on site, and there is free parking.

Our dedicated gym is designed and fitted out specifically for safe Krav Maga training, with all required equipment on hand and jigsaw mats throughout the floor for safety.
