Are you looking for an authentic, highly effective self-defence system that is relatively quick and easy to learn?

Krav Maga is a self defence system from Israel is renown for being relatively simple to learn but brutally effective if you need to use it.  First developed for the Israeli military, Krav Maga is still taught to every member of the Israeli Defence Forces, from the newest of recruits to the top-level special forces operators.

From the 1970s Krav Maga evolved into a civilian version that is specifically for private individuals to protect themselves in a general society or work situations. Our members come from all walks of life… people who want to feel safer going out, meeting new people and travelling, as well as people who face aggression and violence at work such as nurses and even law enforcement officers.

However, as a practical self defence system, Krav Maga is about more than just learning to fight. Sure, teaching you to defend yourself is important and it’s a big part of what we do, but recognising danger signs, responding to the stress of an attack, avoiding unnecessary risks, and developing and exuding the self-confidence to make yourself a hard target can be just as important.  Ultimate we don’t want to have to fight and must respond in a manner appropriate to the law and/or workplace.

From your very first training session, you will be learning techniques and tactics you can use straightaway.  Our highly trained instructor team will have you learning and practical self-defence skills that are designed to simulate the stresses and uncertainties of real-life conflict.

You’ll be exposed to common street attacks, from both armed and unarmed assailants, you’ll learn to understand the mindset of an attacker, and we’ll teach you to defend yourself effectively, whether it against one, two or more attackers.

While that all sounds pretty serious, you will find our classes fast-paced and fun.  You will be joining a community of like-minded people who enjoy the challenge of learning new skills, getting fit and working together to progress through the Krav Maga Global curriculum.

Aaron Moore
Krav Maga Expert Level 2 Instructor

Hi, my name is Aaron Moore and I’m the head instructor for Krav Maga Global in Auckland.

I lived in UK for a long time an discovered Krav Maga  back in 2003.  It sounded a bit like a martial art and I thought I would check it out.

I fell in love with it straight away because I could see how much more practical it was than traditional martial arts, it was relatively simple to learn and it was also quite fun without all the formal stuff.

All these years later I still enjoy it and am please to have brought Krav Maga to New Zealand for people like you to benefit and enjoy.
